New Release!

Today is the release of Diddy’s new album featuring...you’ll never guess – Anna Wintour!

A strange mix of music & fashion, his album also features Andre Leon Talley, Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger.

Voice-over’s can be heard from fashion elite with intros to the tracks such as “This is Anna Wintour from Vogue magazine. You are now listening to the Last Train to Paris".

Christmas Shoots, December Magazines

I have to share with you an amazing picture from a shoot I styled recently – This was for Contraband Magazine.

This awesome centrefold was done with some torn fabric, some thick Christmas ribbon and some Styrofoam.

This is a great creative piece, made from leftover packaging, some spare fabric and ribbon – the cost was probably less than $20.

Creativity is such a big part of what I do, you have to be able to make outfits, looks and images from almost nothing, and be able to work with what’s on hand as well. Plenty of times, I have just looked around the studio for props and clothing ideas and improvised on the spot!

Model Tip of the Day: Try a Wig!

Heres a sneak peak of a shoot I did last weekend – more photos to come.

This shoot was a Nicky Minaj inspired shoot – If you haven't seen photos of her see below;

This is what we got from it. Big thanks to Sandra Lepri – the MUA, who got this fantastic wig! It really makes so much difference.

I would really encourage models who have a lot of ‘sameness’ in their ports to try this. A wig can make a huge difference, different colour drastically different length, and shows you can do a range of looks.

Remember a model has to be versatile, and if a part comes up – models with a huge range of styles / looks are much more likely to get the part. Many times I have gone through models to choose from, and your portfolio is what makes the decision as to whether you get the job or not! This is like your photographic resume – you can get turned away if your pictures are “too girly” or “too tomboyish” however, if we* think you can pull it off, you’ll get the job.

Melted Chocolate Photoshoots & Editorial

So I had 4 photoshoots, last week unfortunately the ones I remembered and took my camera to, I cant release photos for! Yet. One was Christmas themed, one included a short burlesque wig, one included 2litres of melted chocolate and the other was a ‘What To Wear’ for the Christmas season editorial.

Stay tuned, I’ll be sure to post them as soon as I can.
