So I'm sure you’re all dying to know what / who and how the girls
attending the Brownlow medals last night were wearing. I know my bf wants to
know what I thought about them. (Hes into football, Im into fashion)
Here’s a few (not all) and of course, my opinion – take it or leave it :)
Brynne Edelston. This woman needs no explanation, no description and her
dress which come apart halfway down, needs no comment. These pictures are purely
for your entertainment.
This dress? Fail. Nice dress, cute shoes, but a short dress? No, this is
black tie, please stay away from cocktail dresses, especially if you are a WAG.
I don’t know who this is (sorry) Perhaps someone’s mum? She looks a little
older than the average lady, but this dress is nice, classy and by the looks of
it – age appropriate. It doesn’t scream sexy but nor should it.
This dress is interesting, white is a hard colour to pull off, especially for
someone who is pale skinned. I like the detailing, although would like to see
it closer up. Pretty though, so it passes in my books.
This is boring, nice jewellery, ok colour, ok dress but really? So simplistic,
just a bit dull, but not terrible.
This dress is nice, sequinned and sparkly numbers can work really well,
low back as well is sexy but not trashy. I like this one.
This dress is different, bold colour nice cut, I really like this outfit. If
you haven’t been reading up on my previous posts, this hi-low cut is a big
trend on red carpet events like this, so I think she nailed it.
Again white is a hard colour to wear, can go very, very wrong (think weddings
and brides). However classic cut, not too dull, I think this looks classy and
she pulled it off.
I actually am a fan of this dress, excellent colour choice, whoever her
stylist is did well, she has a nice figure, the nude / bronze colour is very on
trend as well as the ruched effect and draping.
Again, good choice, not so bad this year, this dress is a little bit
different, print colourful print,, bordering on being too casual but the empire
line detail steps it up – and her hair is up, pulling this dress off.
Seriously, every now and then bust pout a print dress for an event. It does
wonders.
Bit puffy and prom dressy but not too over the top that I hate it. Nice colour
and simple design, I don’t mind this dress, it could grow on me.
This is bad. Mega fail. The dress cut does not suit her figure at all, she
looks short and frumpy – black is a pretty boring choice as well. And girl? If you’re
going to the Brownlow’s please get your hair done!
Um..interesting, I'm not sure if this works, and I'm not sure if she’s old
enough to be pulling off the ‘I'm showing an entire thigh’ look either.
This is actually one of my favourite dresses of all time classic, simple
cut, classy and extravagant beading / sequins. Stunning. I wanted to wear this
to the WA Fashion Awards, its so awesome. Such a pretty dress. *drool* The pic next to it is how the hemline looks - it flares our really nicely!
I'm not sure about this. It could work, depending on what the other side
is ...and depending on how cheap that chain looks as well. Gold chain on white
fabric rarely looks very ‘expensive’. So I'm not sure, she’s young and her bag
suits, I assume her shoes do but then, that’s giving her a benefit of the doubt
into it. Not awesome, not bad either.
Seriously? Epic fail, as much as I adore this dress (and don’t get me
wrong I do, Danni Minogue wore it last night on X Factor, and she looked great
in it) but for this kind of event? Way too short, way too casual, I know its an
expensive dress but no, sorry. Shoes are nothing special and no jewellery I can
see either, doesn’t look like she tried too hard.
Rebecca Twigley. Yes he dress is that good she gets named. A custom made
Aurelio Costarella dress, hits 10 out of 10. Classic simple colour, silver
works well, suits her skin, she looks tanned and really pretty, the earrings
are simple, not overdone, the details is GORGEOUS! The corset style bodice, ok
ill stop. But really girls, take note.
