Wasted Days & Wasted Nights!

From the heart of Perth’s most renowned fashion district, King Street, Subway DC and Wasteland present the ultimate introduction to Perth’s summer by throwing the party of the year, Wasted Days and Wasted Nights, one of Australia’s most unique fashion events. Last year, this was voted one of Perth's best parties in 2010. 

The event will host two unisex fashion productions to the sounds of New Zealand DJ duo, People of Paris. For decades, this Schwinn-riding cultural anthropologist has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and high society charity soirées for the Times Style section in his columns “On the Street” and “Evening Hours”. Documenting uptown fixtures (Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor, David Rockefeller—who all appear in the film out of their love for Bill), downtown eccentrics and everyone in between, Cunningham’s enormous body of work is more reliable than any catwalk as an expression of time, place and individual flair.

Recently I have noticed a few StyleTread ads, and decided it was time to go check them out myself.


The first thing I noticed was free postage! Always a score, and you know you are not paying extra just because you are buying online.

The second thing? That they have a return policy, with free return shipping for 100 days! Thats nearly a third of a year! I dont know anyone else that will offer a returns policy with this much time.


Thirdly, the range of shoes they have are amazing. a whole category of shoes under $100, plus heels, flats, sandals - you name it, they have pretty much got it.


I have several things on my wishlist - yet to order, so Ill have to let you know how it goes. I have seen plenty of ads for these guys, but they really are a great site and will be soon added to my list of bookmarks :)

Student Runway - PFF 11

Im always so impressed by the student runway, partially because they are always so creative and innnovative and partially because the quality and design in most of the garments are at a level that makes it hard to believe they are only graduates. 


Winners for this year were:

Eco Design: Veronica Parish

Menswear: Sam Donaldson

Evening wear: Cherish Armstrong

Costume: Nicole Marrington

The 3 winners from last year that presented their capsule collections were also very impressive although the show felt like it was taking a while as after each category there was a pause for clapping. One of those moments someone needs to say 'please save your applause for the end'. It held the 6:30 show up by 45minutes!
