25 years of rock star couture closes out Perth Fashion Festival
Perth Fashion Festival has confirmed that iconic Western Australian label Wheels & Dollbaby will close the 13thannual Festival with a stand-out show to be held at His Majesty’s Theatre on Tuesday 27 September.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the rock’n’roll glamour label is certain to up the ‘cool factor’ as designer Melanie Greensmith launches her 2011 / 12 Spring Summer collection.
The typically sold-out show will feature Melanie’s husband Divinyls guitarist Mark McEntee with a soon to be announced line up of musical talent.
“Perth Fashion Festival is like family to us so we’re thrilled to be celebrating our 25th birthday party on home soil as part of the Festival. And His Majesty’s Theatre is the perfect venue to throw a posh rock’n ‘roll party for our closest family and friends!” Ms Greensmith said.
Commenting on such a significant milestone for Wheels & Dollbaby and the brand’s return to PFF, Festival Director, Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said: “Perth loves Wheels & Dollbaby and so does the Festival. The brand is fun, lively and glamorous and always sells out!”

Wheels & Dollbaby collections are constructed and handcrafted in Australia utilising vintage inspired and sourced fabrics. The brand has developed a cult label status amongst its Dollbaby devotees, celebrity fans of which include Jerry Hall, Gwen Stefani, Pamela Anderson, Kate Hudson, Pink, Dita Von Teese, Kelly Osbourne and Sadie Frost.
