I just have to do an entry about Vera Wang’s fragrances, not
only because the bottle alone makes me want to buy it and the advertisements
are really cool as well, but when I read a description of the scents it
contained, I think even my heart smiled. :)
The latest fragrance (which came out in December) is the
Glam Princess fragrance, of the Princess range (duh!).
The fragrances involved are; red berries, guava, pear,
orange blossom, vanilla orchid, ambrette, marshmellow, cashmere wood.
!! Is it just me or does that make you hungry and cosy and
cuddly all at the same time?
Ambrette, for those who don’t know (don’t worry, I didn’t
either) is like musk. It’s used as a substitute, it’s not quite as stale
smelling as musk (I'm not a personal fan), a bit more fruity and has been used
in the new Chanel No. 18.
This fragrance has just the right amount of citrus and fruity
and floral and woody and sugary sweet scents. Sounds like a wicked combo to me.
Face of The Glam Princess ads is Zoe Kravitz. She reminds me
a bit of Peaches Geldof, was born into a killer talented family, has done a few
cool things here and there, some acting, some ads, magazine covers, some shows,
some charity stuff etc etc but nothing consistently and is famous for being
just being them, rather than being a musician or whatever.
Anyway, she is pretty awesome and has signed on to be the
face for the next two years.
