Joanne Pellew has spoken publically for the first time
yesterday, a disgraced fashion designer who was convicted in December 2008 for
drug trafficking.
Her 18month stint in Bandyup ended a fortnight ago and
despite being named the main player in a cannabis distribution ring, she is
going to appeal to overturn the title ‘drug trafficker’.
She wants to get back involved with her swimwear range Kooey,
which had very said Australian ties, being inspired by Aboriginal culture.
She was involved in the Perth Fashion Festival in 2008 (pic
above), after creating the label in 2006.
