If you went out recently, think pre-Christmas and bought a pair of Over the Knee boots and they are now at the back of the closet and you are wondering why you spent $x amount on them, and what you can wear them with, and if you should throw them out, fear not.
This is how you wear OTK boots:
This was a big 'trend' item but dont throw them out, they can be worn in any season, to be safe, wait till Winter. They are best paired with layers, think opaque tights, stockings etc to play down the flash of thigh you are sporting. Wear them with short things (skirts / shorts) or skinny things, jeans (Although most boots wont fit the whole length of jean leg in them if theyre slim fit).
*Please remember, you are not Kate Moss, she can wear anything she wants and look pretty damn good. The rest of us, unfortunately, can not.
Wear them with scarves, coats and hats in order to downplay the 'provocative' nature of them.
And as above, make sure they are black or dark grey or dark brown.
If they look like this:
Throw them out!!
Ha ha ha, love your sense of humor!
ReplyDelete=) I bought my pair in 2009. Normally I wear it with an opaque layer but in Paris I tried to use it just with a denim mini skirt, bare legs (it was too hot in september) and I loved the result!!! I like them to be a bit large, it doesn't look good when it seems yout leg is wrapped and is about to explode.
