Art + Elephants
Art can be pretty much + anything these days, but heres another interesting one to throw in the mix. Enex100, who seem to be trying harder and harder to battle it out with 140William to win the stakes in the creative & fashion crowd, are putting on an interesting exhibition.
Dubbed 'Ele Art' this exhibition showcases work from none other than Asian elephants themslelves!
Designed to keep them healthy & happy, i.e. mentally and physically stimulated, as well as doing some good for the world - the paintings are sold to fund wildlife conservation efforts around the world.
Feel free to head on into the CBD, and check it out, heres a preview of what you can expect below
*please note, no elephants, Asian or otherwise, will be located in the Perth CBD.

Jumpsuit Love
I love jumpsuits and playsuits. I have got a really nice 'loungewear' one in grey, a couple of playsuits (gray, black, white) that are so perfect for the summer, and now with some more 70's revival coming back in fashion, I get the feeling jumpsuits are not going anywhere fast!
Because they have become more and more popular, there are many brands doing a range of different styles so, much like denim for example, they can be worn in several different ways. Gone are the times when you cant wear jumpsuits out for cocktails, or dress up a playsuit, or even wear a playsuit without looking 12 years old.
So, as much as I bought most of my jumpsuits in the summer, when it was nice and casual and, well, summery, I now am on the hunt for some Winter ones, because take it from me, this item is now transeasonal.
I found the site Very.co.uk that do a great range of jumpsuits for all seasons / occasions.
They even have 2 categorys on their website to make it easier. Going out jumpsuits OR Casual jumpsuits.
Simple but effective. Happy shopping!

First PFF news!
Well, maybe not the first eveer, but the first to start to trickle down my way for 2011. I have so many great ideas and plans for this year, and after such a great event last year, Im hoping once again, we're just going to be doing it bigger and better.
For those of you who would like to know what exactly the wheels are doing now that they have started rolling, please see below;
DESIGNERS MOVE INTO THE CARTON The top three student fashion designers, as awarded at the 2010 Perth Fashion Festival WA Fashion Awards, yesterday took up residence at The Carton – where they will now work on their 2011/12 collections.
Alissia Gomez, Jeromy Lim and Celene Bridge will spend the next three months designing their collections to showcase at standalone shows at the 2011 PFF.
What the heck is the The Carton?? A creative, dedicated fashion space fitted out with all the essential equipment required to design and create a catwalk collection. It will be ‘home’ to the emerging designers as they learn more about the design business and process by mentor and established Western Australian designer Garth Cook.
The designers will spend one day a week with Garth learning about fashion marketing, sourcing fabrics and materials, design excellence and producing business plans ensuring The Carton equips them with the skills and experience they need to establish their own fashion labels.
"The Carton is an amazing opportunity for these designers and I’m excited to work with them to get their fashion labels off the ground," Mr Cook said.
"A similar opportunity to The Carton was afforded to me when I was starting out and it helped me enormously to develop my label. I am looking forward to seeing what this fashion incubator will inspire these young designers to produce," he added.
Ranging from costume design to menswear and womenswear, the diverse group of designers will showcase their finished collections at the PFF Student Runway show in September.
"I’m really looking forward to focusing on nothing but creating my collection for the next three months. I am committed to getting my label established and excited by the chance to learn from Garth and work alongside other emerging fashion talent," Ms Gomez said.
PFF, in collaboration with Carillon City, introduced The Carton in 2010 to provide budding WA fashion design students with a platform to catapult them into the fashion industry.
Go the WA fashion industry, props to great designers like Garth Cook, giving newbies a helping hand and offering so much knowledge and expertise and hell yes to local designers and new talent and an ever-growing Perth Fashion Festival!

Hair Trends 2011
An increase in the importance of hair
trends and the way it ties in with fashion trends is also a great
thing to observe.
To whats in this year?
2011 brings a rise in popularity for
natural beachy hair, and wavy bobs for shorter cuts.
How to get this hairstyle?
I have a GHD, which I use all the time
and love to create heaps of different styles. I love the way you can
do a gentle wave or use it for ringlet curls as well.
To get some natural looking hair – I
take sections from each layer of my hair (underneath, middle and
crown) and put soft loose curls in it, using a GHD salon styler (this
is the regular straightener you can buy from most health & beauty
shops, or you can buy it online from GHD Australia ) GHD also do heaps of limited editions, colours and styles to suit
your personal taste :)
If you start at the roots of your hair
and work your way down the length, twirling as you go, and then hold
for a few seconds, but not too long as you get a strong crimping
effect. GHD's are very effective!
Then spray with hairspray, or even
better if you have it, beach curl spray or sea salt. You can also
start with a curling mousse, and GHD do one as well, so you know the
product wont damage your hair or your straightener!
Relaxed and understated curls are the
feature of this, or if you do have some strands that are starting to
look like ringlets, simply run your fingers through them to loosen
them up a bit before you spray it with hair spray.
