140 William is once again holding a cool event, these guys are quickly establishing their name in the creative and fashion field. You may have heard of this market before, or even been to one! This is the press release;
WHAT: Made on the Left Winter market
WHEN: Sunday, 10 July, 11am – 5pmWHERE: 140 (Level 1 corner of William Street and Murray Street Mall, Perth City)
140 will host the next market for Made on the Left – a not-for-profit organisation that supports the best independently made art, design, fashion and homewares created right here on the left side of Australia.
Now in its fourth year, Made on the Left has seen a number of independent designers expand from selling their designs as stall holders to being stocked in WA boutiques, opening their own stores, and developing well-known brands that grace the catwalks and exhibitions of Perth Fashion Festival.
Inspired by vintage fashion from a young age Fern Vallesi began re-working preloved and broken jewellery components to create new pieces which she now sells under the label, She Seldom Blushes
Testing her designs at markets, including Made on the Left, she moved into wholesaling her jewellery at local boutiques and opened her own store in Atwell Arcade, Fremantle.
With a retro and vintage aesthetic Fern also stocks a number of WA designers including current Made on the Left stall holder, Mel P designs.
