Monday Lowdown

Morning all.

Hope everyone had a good weekend! The Estreya Model Search night went really well, as soon as I get the computer program for my new camera installed on my computer I will post some photos! So sorry, Ive just bought a Canon Powershot Pro and used it for the first time that night.

Yesterday was the Huge Vintage Sale in Charles Street in the city – so I hope all you vintage lovers got down there and had a great time and scored some bargains! Some great stalls were there including The Ginger Fox and Awoke Vintage.

News; Of course the annual STYLEAID event is coming up – with this year’s Tribe theme. Final adjustments were made to swimsuits and gowns etc and was the designers last chance to make sure they had their looks down to a T. 17 designers, 21 student designers and 80 models are taking part.

This is a sellout event and only a few tickets left (see below for seating plan and sold out spots!) so if you haven’t already got your ticket to this event on July 30 – get in now.

The WA finalists for the Girlfriend magazine model search have been chosen and will be heading off East to join national finalists, in which only 6 are chosen. This is a pretty big model search run each year – finding the likes of Abbey Lee-Kershaw, Pania Rose and Samantha Harris – watch this space.

Stella McCartney has been signed up to do a collaboration with Adidas doe the 2010 London Olympic games. She’s been announced as the creative director for the British athletes uniforms. Starting in September there will be 4 collections between  now and the Olympics with clothes aimed at non-athletes and fans as well. Although sold only in the UK there is a chance they will be available online.
